Description
Marbleized bowl type defined by the coloured veins forming ripples over the ceramic. Very subtle and careful modelling. These pieces were mainly manufactured in Pisa, one of the main commercial republics of Renaissance Italy. It could have enjoyed commercial relations with cities in Lower Andalusia. A large number of pottery centres began to flourish in Tuscany from the 15th century and especially during the 16th century. Their ceramic types were very similar to this example.
